About

Deciding Your Tomorrow is a comprehensive visual and intellectual experience space. With a documentary-artistic visual experience as well as an ongoing discussion program, Deciding Your Tomorrow offers a chance to re-visit what is at stake in Ukraine.

The exhibition consists of a seminal film by Ukrainian artist Sai, which looks back at every single day of Ukraine’s defense of life and freedom since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion. How much was achieved, how much courage and heroism, but also how much suffering and danger have been present in Ukrainians’ defense of life and freedom since February 24, 2022. This film is complemented by a curated live stream of social media content from Ukraine where people, under attack and mortal threat, defiantly live the lives they want to live and which the soldiers are defending at the front. Also, an updated map and statistics of Russian war crimes in Ukraine show how many lives have been destroyed by Russia’s war of aggression with genocidal intent.

In addition, Ukrainian artists Yarema Malashchuk and Roman Khimei present moving portraits of Ukrainian children who were kidnapped by Russia and returned home safely. Bringing the world’s attention to a systematic war crime Russia commits in Ukraine. At the same time, this work is a homage to all children in Ukraine who live under the systematic risk of being taken from their homes.

In an ongoing discussion program over three days, global political leaders, thinkers and activists will discuss key aspects of Ukrainians’ defense of life and freedom.

Deciding Your Tomorrow is located at Promenade 59, Davos, as a private event on the occasion of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum, in a space shared with Ukraine House Davos.

Deciding Your Tomorrow is organized by Victor Pinchuk Foundation and PinchukArtCentre in cooperation with the Office of the President of Ukraine.
